PSYC6750 Intervention Seminar III: Special Topics

This course provides an opportunity to learn specific intervention approaches and skills in clinical psychology. Trainees will practice clinical skills in group processes, crisis intervention, and counselling with couples and sexual minority populations. Through practice, first-hand experience, sharing and reflections on specific intervention approaches that are commonly used by clinical psychologists, trainees would be able to learn new clinical skills in assessment, interpretation, and treatment; plan and present intervention programs in selected topics in clinical psychology; become more sensitive to the process of and the socio-cultural values in psychological intervention; and gain more confidence as a clinician.
