This course examines the theoretical, practical and cross-cultural problems in the assessment of intellectual and adaptive functioning. Both the clinical and psychometric approaches will be used. Emphasis will be on the clinical interview, history-taking techniques and practice (including administration, scoring, interpretation and report writing) on some of the widely used instruments in Hong Kong.
