Awardees: LO Edmund (MSSc/Yr 2)- Comments from selection panel:
“Good idea based on something that is already in place. Good argument about need. Good project plan and clear financial plan.”
“This proposal has a good review on the literature, and most importantly, the current situation about how the intervention is implemented in Hong Kong. In addition, the proposal described a detailed implementation plan, making the intervention feasible.”
- Comments from selection panel:
- Runner-up: A Wechat-based intervention program for improving emotion socialization practices in parents of early adolescents
Awardee: DING Ruyi (Ph.D./Yr 2)- Comments from selection panel:
"Nice idea. Clear project and financial plans.”
“The proposal aim to use We-chat to promote parents' emotional socialization, which seems noval and feasible. However, the intervention procedure seems to be very complicated but not detailed enough about how these procedures can be implemented successfully in daily life. Therefore, my main concern is about the feasibility of the proposal.”

“This project deals with a very important issue. The approach is OK but I am not sure it can work better than the existing approaches. Therefore, I have some doubt on the feasibility.”
"The topic is very important, given the alarming rate of youth suicides in recent months. Theories are applied, but I feel things the connections between points need to be strengthened."
- Comments from selection panel:
- Runner-up - Ma Yuet Kwan Gloria (Ph.D./Yr3);"Wheel We Meet? Make it Wheel!" by Wheel Power Challenge
- Comments from selection panel:
“This is a well-rounded project, but it is not particularly strong on any of the 4 aspects.”
"The proposal is very well written. Theories are applied. The names of the activities are carefully crafted. The programme is on the radar of the public and media already! "
- Comments from selection panel:
- Runner-up - Ngan Siu Hin (Ph.D./Yr1); A mobile application for multitasking training
- Comments from selection panel:
“This is a very good project which is particularly strong on its creative approach and potential novelty.”
"The idea is interesting. Theories are also applied. I am not completely sure, however, about whether the programme would be different, from a user perspective, than other games available on the phone. In fact, the apps on the phone are so diverse that now I think the problem is not to teach people how to multi-task, but instead how to focus on one task at a time."
